Blog Your Heart - March

This is just a really short, quick little post ----- Actually a question:-
"Do you think that if we (as humans) stop doing the things that calm or feed our souls, we eventually become incapable, of doing those very things"...  I have been thinking a lot about my recent state of mind and loss of creative mojo and have realised that I had put off being creative....For me being creative (and that can be any number of things, from taking photos for TUM or decoupaging or sewing or scrapbooking - and in fact I have not done any scrap booking in almost two years), is an integral part of who I am - and that is not to say that I create the most amazing orginal things - I don't think I do, but for me it is the "doing" instead of the "result" which is important....
Anyway, I started to feel better, when I decided to knit myself a jersey - of all things....but once I had bought the wool and needles and pattern and started it...I began to feel a whole lot better....Now my only concern is - am I going to be able to finish the jersey before I get bored of knitting - I hope so....

TUm - Week 13 - Wood

And now we have WOOD - this is actually the week before last week's theme, so I am a little bit behind - but who is counting...
It was Mariette's theme - Lovely photo Mariette of a tree with some pretty moss growing on it...
Next is Claire - a wooden floor - from her recent trip to Poland...

I took a picure of a wooden box - with a wedding invitation in it...I love it -
I did ask Rochelle if I could use her wedding inivitation on my blog and she said "Of course - just be sure to make special mention of me"...so Rochelle here is your "special" mention" - I love your wedding invitation - a unique and novel idea...(that is why it is deserving of a place on my blog), I am so looking forward to celebrating your wedding with you and Shaun, on the 11th May (just kidding - 12th May) - I am sure it is going to be every bit as special and unique as the invitation, and as you prepare for the rest of your lives together - always remember to have fun, never forget to laugh together, never take each other for granted and ...
And here is my Wood picture for the week...
That is my posting for this week - NEXT Week - actually no last week .... well whatever - the next theme is ORB...Claire moved house last week, and sent an e-mail saying she had a stunning photo, but her internet connection is not yet up - so Mariette and I are patiently waiting ----- Hope your move went ok ANG....Hope you are getting settled and looking forward to you being "in contact" again....Missing you - To our other missing TUM lady (Pam) - it really is strange being only three....Miss you tons, but absense does make the heart grow fonder, so we will appreciate you more when you come back....
Lots of love

More TUM Catching UP....

Week 10 - Green - this was Pam's theme - and I think this was the week when everyone started being a bit concerned about me.....I did actually take a photo, but just never sent it to the girls and I asked them to go ahead without me...
This is Mariette's beuatiful take...(left) and Pam's (right) on her daily forest walk...

Claire's below: -
Well done to you all...

My photo of a blue fronted amazon - this was not what I took for this theme....I actually took photos of the driving range (golfing GREEN) where Brad and Mike go to practise golf...but like I said I never sent it to the girls and now that I look, I suspect that I never actually even downloaded the photo off my camera - told you I was in a bad way...

Next we had Watch...Claire's challenging theme, and by now I did not even take a picture - my thought was to take one of our cat's WATCHING their intended prey...but never got that far...
This was the week that Claire was in Poland, and she was watching as she was being watched....This was taken in the Jewish Quarter in Krakow (I think) - such an intense stare and you can read the very soul of the entire Jewish population in this photo....
Next Pam and Mariette, Ryan and April at the gaming arcade after watching a movie and Mariette's telescope to watch the night sky...

Week 12 - Laugh...
This was a fun theme...and I started to get back into it...but sadly, and certainly no laughing matter, this was the week that Pam decided that she needs to focus all her energies on her business (South Shore Organics) and doing the laundry - anything that does not contribute to these two priorities, needed to be cut lose...we miss you Pam, but look forward to you coming back (we will welcome you with open arms) when things calm down a bit....
Mariette took a lovel picture of Maxine laughing during a picnic that they had together in their back garden - the three M's (Maxine, Mariette and Myrrill)
Claire's is of her four girls - having fun - one of Claire's favourite photo shoots last time all the girls were together...

These two delightful ladies (mom and daughter) have an amazing sense of humrour and delicious giggle - Just had to capture the fun...

Next week we have WOOD....

TUM - Catch UP...

I don't know what was wrong with me - we have had some lovely themes in the last month and the other girls really excelled...Well done to you all in getting beautiful photographs submitted and lovely blog postings done and thank you so much to all of you for being patient with me, whilst I was going through a MAJOR loss of creative mojo...I am feeling a lot better, and even though I was not feeling creative about anything, I think I did manage to take photos for every theme except one - so without further ado here they are:-

Last posting I did was "HUSBANDS" in February...
Then we had "Children (Week 8 - I think) - I was already feeling a bit uncreative so cheated and chose an old photo of my children - a photo which I have always loved - don't they just look so happy - A really fun photo - wish I knew what they were laughing at - and I hope they can always find moments of fun together as they grow up...
Following are lovely photos from Mariette (of Maxine), from Claire (of Meagan and Skyla) and Pam (of Ryan and April and a friend)...

Then we had "Patterns" - Mariette's theme - like with shapes, there are patterns to be found all around us....Once again everyone excelled...
Mariette took the patterns on the top of the latest addition to their fish family...

Then we have Claire's picture, she turned the light off and left only the fairy lights on which gave lovely patterns on the wall - beautiful.
Pam's picture of a pattern of a light dusting of snow in the car park...
Finally mine, - Claire thought it was a pattern drawn on a steamy mirror after a delicous hot bath - sorry you had to wait so long to find out what it was....It was the pattern left in my sink when I lifted out a glass that had been standing in the sink all night - sometimes the most ordinary things can be amazing...

This picture shows the glass as well...
I am going to do the rest of my catching up in another posting ....

YAY...

Back in Touch - Hello Everyone - I have certainly missed you all...NOTE TO SELF - Next time you change your password -WRITE IT DOWN somewhere - I hope I have learnt my lesson and will never again automatically assume that I will remember it...because, guess what I did not....TUM catch up to follow...
Lots of love
